John Wesley offers many ways to strengthen your faith. Whether it is through a specific topical study, a weekly discussion group or one time event, John Wesley always strives for its congregation to grow spiritually.
Silent Prayer Retreat Saturday, November 4th, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm: Our church offers Silent Prayer Retreats as a way to grow further in our spiritual journey, a way to still our minds from the noise and bombardment of our culture, and as a way to be with others in silence and prayer. You’re encouraged to try committing to the full experience, and you’ll be amazed at what occurs when both mind and heart are in silence. Snacks and drinks will be provided; feel free to bring a bag lunch. We open and close with brief times of worship in the Chapel, and the rest of the time is yours for quiet contemplation and prayer. Guidelines and materials will be provided. There is no cost, but please call Bobye Anderson (508-540-1283) or sign up on the sheet in the Narthex.
Adult Sunday School
This group meets on Sundays at 9:30 am in the Library with Brian and Jenn Linton.
Small Group Studies
There are numerous small groups, depending on day and time of the week that focus on a specific topic, book in the Bible or character.
All men are welcome and invited to share in breakfast and discussion with one another on the third Tuesday of each month. The group meets at the church from 7:30 – 8:45 am. Facilitated by John Mincieli, this informal discussion is based on one of Pastor Rebecca’s sermons. There is no charge for breakfast, but donations are gratefully accepted.
