In order to assure the health of our musicians our programs have adjusted to different times and smaller groups. At John Wesley, there are many ways for people of all ages to worship God through the arts, specifically through music. We have a Chancel Choir, Hand Bell Choir, Youth Music Program and Children’s Choir that meet regularly and share in presentation on a monthly or even weekly basis.
The Chancel Choir offers a way for you to worship God and share your musical talents with others. This enthusiastic group sings a wide array of anthems and hymns, receives vocal training and enjoys the fellowship of other singers. The Chancel Choir practices weekly on Wednesday’s at 7:00 pm.
The Hand Bell Choir is perfect for anyone! It helps if you know how to read music. The Hand Bell Choir practices weekly on Wednesday’s at 6 pm to prepare music.
The Children’s Choir is perfect for children who like to sing, want to improve on their singing or maybe would like to sing for the first time! There are also opportunities for children to play instruments (hand drums, keyboard, etc.) use dancing ribbons, bubbles and more. The Children’s Choir practices every other Sunday after church and share their singing on special Sundays.
If you have special gifts or talents and would like to share your gift with the congregation or for more information on how to get involved with our Choirs, contact Ruth in the office at 508-548-3050. or our Music Director, Paula King, the Director of Music Ministries, jwumcfalmouth@comcast.net
