ALL are invited to our All-Church Game Night on Friday, April 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm! We will have tables set up with various board/card games, but please feel free to bring your favorite game! Who knows…maybe a group will join in with you! Also bring a snack/dessert to munch on and share.
What better way to relax on a Friday night after School Spring Break than with your church family?! We’ll see you then!
We are excited to be partnering with Christian humanitarian organization, Samaritan’s Feet for this year’s 15 Hour Shoe Fast/Simulation! Did you know that over 2.2 billion people can’t afford basic necessities, such as shoes? And over 1.5 billion people are infected with diseases that are transmitted through contaminated soil (World Health Organization, 2017)? Something so common to us as shoes, are a privilege in other countries. But that shouldn’t be the case.
So our Youth Group will be going shoe-less for 15 hours to gain your support in their mission to donate/raise funds for 50 pairs of shoes! Starting Friday, May 11th at 6:00 pm, Youth (grades 5 and up) will be barefoot as they participate in games, activities, discussions and teachings. The group will learn first-hand what it feels like to not have the luxury of shoes while completing challenging tasks. We will sleepover in the church where we’ll break the simulation/fast in the morning with communion and foot washing. Each participant is encouraged to donate at least one pair of new, athletic shoes. We hope your student(s) will join us for this special and creative fundraiser. Our desire is that when we shed to light a problem in our world, our young people will be the ones to actually do something about it.
Sign up today by contacting Youth Director, Allison Deyo at email@example.com or 508-548-3050 and help us as we do our part, to provide shoes to every single child on the face of the earth!
