Gosnold “Sticker Shock” Campaign
Saturday, May 19, 2018
8:45 am to 12:30 pm
Local Liquor Stores
We are excited to be partnering with Gosnold by volunteering for their semi-annual prevention initiative, “Sticker Shock” Saturday, May 19th. This is a public education and awareness program that educates the community that it is illegal to provide alcohol to people under 21. Because this is an age-sensitive event, students in 7-12 grade will be asked to participate. The morning will consist of students going into six local liquor stores (under the supervision of adults and away from alcohol) and placing “Parents who Host, Lose the Most” stickers on paper bags (just in time for Prom and Graduation).
Please contact Youth Director, Allison Deyo to sign up your student(s) (email@example.com or 508-548-3050) as a head count is needed for transportation. Drop off is at Gosnold’s Offices (350 Gifford Street, W-10, Homeport) at 8:45 am and pick will be at the church (270 Gifford Street) around 12:30 pm. Please fill out the Permission Form in advance and bring it with you the morning of.
Join us on Sunday, May 20th as we celebrate the baptism and confirmation of seven of our students as they proclaim and confirm their faith in Jesus Christ. A special Coffee Hour will follow to celebrate them. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating and welcoming them to the family of Christ!
Our students entering 7th grade and above are invited to join us for a meaningful 4-day, 3-night Mission Trip to Winthrop, Maine, July 25-28. Our group will be serving in various capacities, including construction work, renovating an old school into emergency housing for single mothers and more. Fun activities such as swimming, hiking, boating and more will be available every evening.
To sign up and/or for more details, please contact Youth Director, Allison Deyo at firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-548-3050. The Information Packet will be available the first week in May.
